Who We Are
We're Jeff & Heather Setzer, missionaries through science and Scripture, sent out by Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hickory, NC where we also base as our home address. Since 2000, The LORD privileged us to serve throughout the United States originally as "missionaries to young people." Since the Bible says, "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth" (Ecclesiastes 12:1), in 2000 we began to focus our labors on creation and produced our first creation-themed vacation Bible school: DinoTales. Since then, we have renamed it DinoMight and added four more themes: Mountain Mysteries, Secrets of the Sea, Wilderness Wonders, and Jungle Tales. Both of us placed our faith in the LORD Jesus at the young age of 8, and were blessed by Christian homes and Christian education both in elementary, high school, and college. We presently live in a 38' RV/fifth wheel which serves as both home and office on the road.
What We Do
We use true science to help people understand that design truly does points to a designer. If one happens upon a house deep in a jungle, he or she would not assume that the monkeys or tiger had built it. Funny thing--that science with its "big bang" model and "millions of years" of unseen, hypothetical time, over which eons some form of ape type creature diverged into both humans and apes, that people are expected to believe that story with absolutely no empirical evidence! And with that view, all of the intricate design in the universe, from the solar system in which earth resides to the marvelous features of the cuttlefish, all came into existence beginning with a cosmic explosion? Explosions don't create things. They mess things up.
In contrast, the marvelous, amazing design proclaims a Designer of unimagineable description! This Designer has revealed His design both in nature and in a Book, the Bible...a Book that has been maligned so viciously for thousands of years, but regularly is confirmed as true by scientific disciplines such as archaeology.
Through our efforts in reaching young people (e.g VBS meetings) and all ages (e.g. fair ministry), we concentrate on the design factor...in the "book of nature" and in the Book, the Bible: God's written revelation for how we should live.
